Australia funny

Muse is always saying how she’s like to go to Australia and tour the wasteland known as the outback and dive the Great Barrier reef.  I’m thinking she has a death wish.  Obviously, I’m not alone in that line of thinking.  Take a look at this short and funny music video about Australia’s wildlife.

Those crazy Aussies. They do have some deadly creatures down there.

    Great video.

Hahaha! I loved the clip. Thanks for the giggle. I’d like to go to Australia too but I wouldn’t go near any wildlife. I’d stick to the cities and the areas around Starbucks’s. They tend to be less on the scary creature side unless you come across over-caffeinated people but I know how to deal with them. I’ve been in their shoes many times. lol

  3. In the same class of which I’m going to do the project about China… we learned a little bit about Australia just yesterday in the class. The history is a bit funny, like someone brought in bunnies and Australia became overrun. Then they brought in European cats and foxes to take care of the bunnies, but they found some native species to be more tastier and wiped out a few of them. Etc. LOL And of course there’s the cane toads.

Also, my professor has a son who wanted to study there and his other son actually studied in Hong Kong. He speaks fluent Mandarin now because of it. ANYway, my prof said that to get his son into a communist country, it only took about 3 weeks of paperwork. To get his other son into Australia it took 6 months of paperwork and $3000 worth of innoculations. Goodness.

BTW, thank you for your reply to my question about China. Hey, maybe I could just stand up in front of the class and go “I can neither confirm nor deny any information. The end.” HA!

  4. *sigh* Ok, I guess he actually speaks Cantonese. I knew I would get them mixed up. :-(

@Shannon Yep, Southern China and Hong Kong are Cantonese Speakers but yeah I’ve heard that immigrating to live in Australia is insanely difficult.

Yeah, unless they are swimming in a tank behind thick glass, jellyfish scare the piss out of me. I don’t want to ever be in a situation where someone has to pee on me to bring relief from those stingers.

  7. BTW… I would love to visit there someday as well. But the flora and fauna are a bit of a concern. ;-) I have an internet friend who one day wrote in her journal “I am afraid to go outside because there is a big bug out there.”

And then that reminds me of another story my prof told us about his son landing in the ER one day. Because a grasshopper had bit him. 0.o

And in other crazy news, how is the Burrito Boy after his gastro experiment?

  8. too funny! she must have loved that video! :o)

You know what. Ever since I saw that movie Wolf Creek, I’ve had NO desire to visit the Outback. LOL

  10. I don’t know about anyone else, but I still want to go and snorkel and tour the outback. Maybe I do have a death wish, but it makes living so much more exciting!
I saw a HUGE shark under me in Pensacola Beach, FL while I was boogie boarding…yet I still ventured into the water after that. So, meh, not much different.
Anyway, if I die while snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef…well, at least I went out doing something I love.

She has a point I suppose.
