I would not be surprised to see some fans go out and by record players just for this album. Actually, I would be surprised because it would mean that at some point they'd gotten rid of the player. There's a record store up the street from my house, and about 50% of the floor space is dedicated to vinyl. It is packed every weekend. Elvis Costello fans are truly fanatic. Very surprised. Maybe it's because you don't have too many teenagers around you, but a lot of them really know vinyl and are into it because it's 'retro'. and they do sell turntables, and people are making a fortune. makes me wish i had saved my own system. but yeah i can't fault this delivery method. Although honestly, who goes to a music store nowadays anyways? You’d be surprised how many kids know about vinyl. Very surprised.
