My best friend sent this link to me for an article labled: ‘My Space’ hoax ends with suicide of Dardenne Prairie teen. At first I didn’t think much of it while I read it. I just assumed it was some family blaming “teh interwebs” for their lack of parenting. Boy, was I wrong. The story laid out in this article is the stuff of urban legend and made-for-TV movies.

I heard about this on the news yesterday. It’s really F-ed up. And the police won’t do anything about it. The kicker is that when the family of the victim found out they destroyed the ping-pong table of one of the neighbors that participated in the prank. The table was in the victim’s garage. So now the parents that did the hoax are suing the victim’s parents. It’s a huge mess.
This made me sick to my stomach.
I wish I could say I can’t believe people would do that, but sadly enough, I do believe it because i’ve just lost faith in so many people.
Crazy.
