Filming Batman in Hong Kong update
Normally I don’t but today I walked along the escalator/travelator to my office to see what I could see. In the Link Alley, which is a covered stretch of the walkway between IFC and Des Veoux Road, there were hundreds of folding chairs setup along with a big tent. There were a few security guards and about 10 females in the area milling about, all of them caucasian. A couple of them had some sheets of paper stapled together. Signs in the area said RFK Extras Holding Area. Considering this is part of the escalator area and it’s not too far from the filming location for today, I’d say these are the people we’ll see walking (or maybe running and screaming) in the background of the walkway scenes in the movie.
I just got a frantic phone call saying that the movie crews are setting up their equipment under the escalator on Lyndhurst Terrace. The crew were unloading equipment and plastic totes from a bunch of panel vans when I walked through so I know it was real. That area is just a couple hundred feet from the filming location today. I couldn’t see much else except more security guards on the walkway bridge and a cable news van parked on the street.
Considering they are supposed to start at 2pm, lunchtime should be interesting.

Hi, thanks for posting comment on my site yesterday. You’re so lucky to be in the middle of the filming. Is taking pictures prohibited in the filming location?
