Batman in Hong Kong update #2

I’m kind of obsessed with the filming of Batman.  Can you tell?

I mentioned yesterday that they were talking about keeping all the city lights on non-stop for filming.  Well in the papers they’re saying that it might not happen.  It’s unfortunate, but I can imagine that it’s a significant cost for a lot people to do that.  Considering the religion of Chinese is luck and money, I’m not too surprised.

There is a notice posted on the escalator/travelator walking bridge over Hollywood Road with specific filming times now.  Here’s a picture of the sign so you can see it yourself.  Basically, they are going to be filming a few hundred feet from my office between 2:00pm and 5:30pm tomorrow afternoon.  Guess where I’ll be.  Go ahead, guess.

Yesterday they started running the helicoptor and C-130 aircraft around.  There were pics in the local Chinese newspaper.  Last night I saw the helicopter flying through the middle of Central roughly along the path of the escalator. Most people were stopping and looking up at the sound because aircraft never fly over that area.

That’s all the Batman, The Dark Knight, filming updates I have from Hong Kong today.  Hopefully I’ll be able to sneak a picture of something tomorrow.

Yesterday no action but it was it was a beautiful day in HK. Seven bat like peregrines were dancing/playing in the wind over Western – doesn’t happen often in Western, they would’ve looked damn good in the film. We finished the day watching Batman Begins!
