The Cure

Tickets just went on sale today.  I got two tickets to go see The Cure performing live at the AsiaWorld Expo here in Hong Kong!  It’s kinda pricey ($100USD a ticket) but I think we got good seats right on the aisle.  I hope they’re good seats….  Woohooo!  I am SO excited!

This will be the first time I’ve seen the same band live more than once.  OK I take that back.  I did see The Urge quite a few times live.  And I may have seen They Might Be Giants two or three times.  But aside from that….  Seriously though, I saw The Cure at Riverport in St. Louis, MO way back when during the Wish Tour.  It was the BEST concert I have ever been to and have never forgotten it.  Even the opening act was awesome, which happened to be The Cranes at the time.  Also amazing live and can control the weather.

Of course my fond memories, as I was reminded, are now over 15 years old.  Holy shitsticks!  It’s been that long since I saw The Cure in concert?  Wow.  I hope they are still as good as they were back then.  They were an amazing act.  Of course I am biased as I’ve been a fanboy for as long as I can remember.  Ah I can’t believe they are going to be here and I get to see it!  I wonder if I’ll even recognize the songs anymore?  I’m sure they’ll play some of the old classics but there’s been quite a few albums that I have missed over the years.

Now if I can just get Nine Inch Nails and They Might Be Giants to tour Hong Kong, I’ll be all set.  Especially if they toured together!!!
